How we treat termites
Active termite treatment
Chemical treatments are used when termite activity is detected. Treatments may include a combination of:
- Above-ground baiting systems applied directly to where termite activity is observed
- Foam treatments applied inside wall voids, skirting boards, cracks, cavities, openings and timber areas
- Localised treatment of visible termite activity
Chemical barrier protection
A chemical barrier acts as a protective shield between termites in the soil and your home. Treatment includes:
- Trenching soil around the perimeter of the property
- Drilling through concrete porches and driveways, paving or tiled areas to allow treatment to penetrate soil below
- Treatment around foundations, structural edges, expansion joints and gaps in construction
- Subfloor perimeter walls, piers and posts
- Critical entry points treated
In-ground monitoring & baiting systems
In-ground baiting systems installed around the property approximately every 3 metres provide many benefits including:
- Early detection and treatment of termite activity
- Early colony elimination capability
- Intercept termite movement
- They act as an early warning system
